TEMPORARY HOMES FOR A MOVING SOCIETY
winning competition
Copenhagen (Denmark) | January 2012
Æ won the international competition "HOME" by the BTI (Building Trust International).
Temporary Homes for a Moving Society is not just an architectural project, it is a new way of re-thinking how the modern society lives in a technological and digital world, where the time for everything is speed up.
It is a NET-WORK ARCHITECTURE spread all over the World which can help the young moving generation to temporary live within it untill they establish their working network and subsequently their permanent working position, leaving at that point their temporary living cell to another user.
It is a NET-WORK SYSTEM of possibilities for young people to meet and exchange knowledges, accellerating both the process of finding/establishing working positions and the process of developing in a broader way the progression of the society, whitout loosing worthy personalities inappropriately.
"I think that Architeture is not a permanent art; something that is completed and fixed, but rather something that grows towards the future, is epanded upon, renovated and developed. This is the concept of Metabolism - metabolise, circulate, recycle."
[Kisho Kurokawa - from the Age of Machine to the Age of Life]
This project, since its beginning, is following a specific logic which goes from a deep understanding of the situation to a researched analysis of the possibilities.
If understanding is the first step of this process, react is the following one.
The reaction, therefore, aims to create debate on the architectural field.
The pre-determination of the shell does not have to mean restriction of inside qualitative solutions, it means instead: challenging the organization of the inside going beyond the conventionality, allowing a freer and personal experience of the indoor.
